Kick Butts Day March 28th is Kick Butts Day, a day set aside for you to consider kicking the habit and for youth to advocate against the companies that sell this dangerous product. Many people have tried to stop smoking, often taking as seven times of "stopping" before they actually do. It appears based on recent research that people who exercise have an added tool in the fight, one so effective that one of the researchers stated that, "if it was a drug, they could market it very easily." With as little as 10 minutes of moderate intensity exercise, such as walking briskly or even activity like yardwork, smoker’s desire for tobacco is decreased. Is this really that different from what we have said in the past? Not really, but it shows that even 10 minute exercise sessions can affect short term results as well as long term.
